You can configure your home PC using Netscape to check your NSU e-mail account; however, you will have to make changes to Netscape preferences each time you want to receive e-mail from a different e-mail account. The solution to this is to use multiple Profiles in Netscape. One profile would point to your NSU e-mail account and the other to your Internet Service Provider (ISP) account.

Opening Netscape Profile Manager:

• On the Task Bar, left-click Start and move the mouse over Programs.
• Move the mouse down the Programs menu until you see Netscape.
• Hold the mouse over Netscape... and another Popout menu will open.
• Move the mouse over Utilities to expand the menu again to show Profile Manager.
• Click on User Profile Manager.

Profile Manager:

This screen is where you will create the new Profile for NSU.

Left-click on New...

The Creating a New Profile window will open as shown in the image below.

This screen has information regarding the creation of a new profile and why you may want multiple profiles.

Notice the highlighted section on profiles for business and personal.

Left-click on Next >

Choose a Name and Directory for your Profile:

The default directory shown can be left alone.

Left-click on Next > to continue to the next screen:
Set up your Incoming Mail Server

Left-click Next > to continue:

Set up your Newsgroups Server:

The other default information is correct.

Left-click Finish to complete.

Using multiple profiles:

Now that you have multiple profiles in Netscape you will see a screen similar to the one on the right when you start Netscape.

Use the drop-down arrow to choose the appropriate profile.

Remember we used NSU or a variation of that name to represent the NSU profile. The other profile will be for your ISP.
