Changes To Off-Campus Email Setup
  1. In Netscape, go to Edit/Preferences/Mail & Groups/Mail Server.

  2. Change the server address in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server text box to your Internet Service Provider's mail server (mail.earthlink.net, for example). Do NOT leave it as cherokee.nsuok.edu.

    3. Note: Leave the Incoming mail server as cherokee.nsuok.edu. The new changes do not affect how mail is read from Cherokee. In fact, if you only read Cherokee mail from off-campus, and never send any, you don't have to change anything.

  3. If you want recipients to automatically reply to your Cherokee address, using the Reply button, go to Edit/Preferences/Mail & Groups/Identity.

  4. Change the Reply-to address to your Cherokee address - ONLY if you want replies to go to your Cherokee address. If you don't care, or would prefer for the mail to go to your ISP mail address, leave this box blank.
