The
mission of Information Services (IS) is to provide
reliable, responsive, centralized software and hardware
solutions that enable other university departments
to accomplish their duties in an efficient manner.
In pursuit of this mission, IS works to promote communication
and teamwork within the department and with other
functional areas of the university.

The
IS staff provides administrative support and maintenance
of over 30 software systems, consisting of over
3500 source programs utilizing over 1 million lines
of code. Most of these systems are online, interactive,
and code-driven. The major systems include:

Leasing
Over
2 million pages are printed each year in support of
these systems, using central and remote printers at
all three campuses. Many of these systems have been
modified to be paperless, and are connected via email.
The IS staff also provides special reporting, operational
support, problem analysis, and vendor liaison functions.
