Microcomputing Services Center

The mission of Microcomputing Services Center (MSC) is to provide end-user support for the more than 8,000 faculty, staff, and student users of campus software, hardware, email, and network services. This encompasses:

  • MSC is your single point-of-contact for support of your Computing and Telecommunications needs
  • Providing telephone assistance, helping visitors to the MSC, and on-site visits to work on computers all over campus
  • Training members of the campus community in the use of NSU network services and standard hardware and software
  • Hardware and software consulting services for employees, students, and local community members, including needs assessment, research, evaluation, and purchase recommendations
  • Instructional Materials Services group creates graphics, web sites, content, and video production for members of the NSU Community
  • Administration of licensing for standard software on all university-owned computers
  • Maintenance of the campus computer equipment inventory, including tracking and billing of approximately 1,600 computers as well as assorted peripherals and network equipment
