Video Technology

The mission of Video Technology (VT) is to support the university's mission by using available technology to serve students and employees in the areas of video and audio distribution.

VT's primary responsibilities include: 

  • Maintain the cable television network on campus to facilitate the distribution of cable TV, satellite and special programs to all connected rooms on campus. 
  • Specify, install and perform limited maintenance on permanent and portable multimedia equipment setups for the university.  This includes but is not limited to; video/data projectors, document cameras, presenation hardware, media players, carts and sound systems.  
  • Sound re-inforcement and audio processing for university events.
  • Maintain the Campus/Community Billboard shown on the community cable-TV channel 99 which features public service announcements and occassional programming for the university and communty.
  • Maintain K04DY-TV VHF channel 4 transmitter which carries the Campus/Community Billboard and occassional programming to the Tahlequah community over the air.
