Facts |
| The
building is the nerve center for a campus-wide fiber optic
network. It is the distribution center for many computing,
video, and telecommunication services for the campus and
surrounding area. The building provides office space,
computer machine rooms, training facilities, a television
studio, and audio and video editing rooms. Four classroom
computer labs provide access to local and global network
resources through 160 multimedia-equipped IBM personal
computers. A building security system facilitates 24 hour
access to computer labs. Seven teleconferencing rooms
accommodate groups ranging from 6 to 400. Teleconferencing
rooms provide two-way video and audio to remote sites
and full multimedia presentation capabilities. A vaulted
reception and visitor center on the sixth floor provides
formal meeting rooms for groups of about 80. |
