permission must be requested to send bulk emails in order
to prevent abuse. One-time permission requests should be
handled through the Department Dean or Director. If that
Dean or Director wishes an individual to be on the permanent
bulk emailing list, they should forward that request to the Director of Computing and Telecommunications.
The individual that is added to the permissions list will
have indefinite access unless the Department Dean or Director
requests otherwise.
If you are not receiving Campus Wide emails or, if you receive e-mail that seems to include you in an incorrect organizational unit, e-mail Help or call the Help Desk at ext. 5678.

To request a Listserv List, please fill out the Listserv List Request Form.
Now that these lists are available on the new server, we ask that you start sending all mass emails to the new addresses. Just in case you forget, we will keep the old addresses active until the end of the semester. Mail sent to the old addresses will be forwarded to the new addresses, so the security features detailed below will still apply.
Security:
The campus-wide mailing lists have been setup with some of the new security features provided by NSU Listserv to help prevent email spoofing.
When you send an email to one of the campus-wide mailing lists, it will not be distributed right away. Instead, the Listserv server will send you an email message asking you to confirm that the message is legitimate. The original message will be attached at the bottom, so you can ensure that it is your message. If it is your message, you may either click the link in the email or reply to the email with the word OK to authorize the server to distribute your message.
Faster distribution:
On all high-volume tests performed, the Listserv server has outperformed the old mail server. Mail that took over two hours to distribute on the old mail server only took a few minutes on the Listserv server.
